Price adjustment of toll rates for zero-emission vehicles from 01.03.23

Vestland County Council and Bergen Municipality have decided to reverse reduced rates for zero-emission vehicles. Government subsidies that have previously been used to reduce rates for zero-emission vehicles will be used for public transport. The rates for zero-emission vehicles will therefore be reversed back to the level before the halving of the rates that was introduced on 1 January 2021, adjusted with the price increase.

The rates will be adjusted on the basis of a rate decision made by the Vegdirektoratet on 16 January 2023.

The new rates with agreement

  • Zero-emission vehicles in rate group 1 outside rush hour - NOK 9.60
  • Zero-emission vehicles in rate group 1 during rush hour - NOK 17.60

The new rates without an agreement

  • Zero-emission vehicles in rate group 1 outside rush hour - NOK 12.00
  • Zero-emission vehicles in rate group 1 during rush hour - NOK 22.00

Rush hour (06:30-09:00 and 14:30-16:30) does not apply in the toll stations that started collection on 6 April 2019 in accordance with Prop. 11 S (2017-2018.)

Rate group 1 is vehicles with a permissible total weight up to and including 3,500 kg, as well as vehicles in vehicle category M1 with an electronic tag and a valid agreement.

Rate group 2 is vehicles with a permissible total weight from and including 3501 kg, excl. vehicle in vehicle category M1 with an electronic tag and a valid agreement.

Discount and exemption apply as before.

The rate decision can be appealed to the Samferdselsdepartementet within three weeks of announcement.
