Price adjustment for zero-emission vehicles from 01.03.23

Rush hour fee

Increased rates: Rush Hours is from Monday to Friday between 06:30 - 09:00 and 14:30 - 16:30.
Ordinary rates: Monday to Friday outside rush hours, Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays.

Rush hour does not apply in the toll stations that started collection on 6 April 2019 in accordance with Prop. 11 S (2017-2018.)

Environmentally differentiated toll rates

Environmentally differentiated toll rates means that vehicles that have the highest grade of pollution will also be charged a higher rate per passing. The rates will therefore differ between electric vehicles, petrol/plug-in hybrids and diesel in rate group 1. In rate group 2, the rates differ based on if the vehicle is certified after Euro VI-standard or older.

Hourly rate

With the hourly rule, this means that you only pay for one passage if the same vehicle passes several toll stations in the same toll project within 60 minutes.
It is the most expensive passing that will be charged.

From 01.09.23, there is no requirement for an AutoPASS user agreement to get hourly rule in Bypakke Bergen.

Monthly maximum rate

With a valid AutoPass agreement and a tag connected to your vehicle, you will not be charged more than 60 passages in Bergen. This applies per calendar month and per vehicle/tag.

Exemption

Persons with reduced mobility who have a valid parking permit from the municipality are entitled to exemption from tolls in connection with urban areas.

If you have a valid AutoPass agreement, you can connect your parking permit to you agreement to obtain an exemption in toll stations connected to the Bergen area.

About exemption
Zero-emission vehicles

Zero-emission vehicles are electric cars and hydrogen cars in rate groups 1 and 2. All zero-emission vehicles must have a valid AutoPASS agreement and a tag to receive a AutoPASS-discount or exemption, as well as benefits such as hourly rate and monthly maximum rate. It is mandatory for rate group 2 to have a valid AutoPASS agreement and tag. Hydrogen vehicles with a valid AutoPASS agreement and tag are exempt.
